Ceramic installations by Chuck Plosky and Puneeta Mittal use clay materials and firing processes to create an environment that invites the viewer to touch and take with them tactile memories in time and space. The vibrant colors of the ceramic spheres associated with robust architectural forms generate a sense of space at the molecular level “inside” and the void that positions the viewer “outside”. Both create a strong effervescent presence. Monroe College 914-740-6802 On View: October 3rd– November 30, 2008 Opening Reception: Thursday, October 23, 5-7pm Gallery Hours: To Be Announced |
