Ok, we might have dreamed of loads of things, some like what I am currently going to explain, an air gear. It’s an idea I got after playing a game, Sonic Riders, on my Playstation. The whole process or the invention depends on kinetic energy flow.
We have a normal skateboard but it’s thicker on the sides and its missing wheels. Or it could have very small adn light wheels, because it might need to crash a lot. The inside of it is hollow and at the smaller ends, there are openings, rectangular ones. Wind can pass through that. There are two turbines at the bottom of the board, these are also light but can spin really fast. Then there is a button on top of both openings. There are two embossed objects, that can be pushed to one side, on both ends making four embossed objects in total.
Now comes the theory on how it works. You have to run so fast with the board or do something else that will make the turbines rotate like crazy. They have to spin at a high RPM rate. Once the RPM rate required is achieved, you can let go of the board in such a position that the turbines are facing the ground. It will levitate and it will go forward on it’s own. It won’t stop for a long time because wind keeps going through it and it will keep the turbines spinning. To make a person get on it, after the board starts to float, he will have to jump on it or something like that. But the weight of the board and him won’t be supported. So the we need lighter everything, the board, the turbines, the person etc.
It needs a lot of things to make it work. The buttons above the openings are designed as brakes. You press one of the buttons, the opening will close and act as a brake. If you close the back opening, it will slow down, but not quite so fast. If you close the front opening, you get an immediate brake. The embossed things are for turning the board. You push one of the embossed objects in one direction, the corresponding turbine will move in the opposite direction at a particular angle making the board turn. The back turning system will give you smaller turns while the front one should give you steeper turns.
This is the end of the article. I hope you understood my idea on how an air gear might be possible, I hope you enjoyed it.

Consumer-created wave comes to tech support.
Looks like the consumer-created content wave is coming to tech support.
We have been noodling around with a new tech information targeted search tool called Fixya.com. And honestly, while it is not perfect, it is far from awful.
Fixya claims it provides a compilation of all the public technical information for most every available bit of electronics in the world. We couldn’t possibly say whether that’s really true, but in our testing, the thing is not bad. It had a nice way of pulling available manuals and drivers into an easy-to-find space. And it pulls out interesting chat threads on various items.
Searches for our Dell 5100 were almost useful. The thing found us the manual in PDF format as well as some nice driver and bios update information from Dell.
Usually these sort of user-created guides are awful. We wonder why Bizrate, Buy.com and all the rest even bother. But Fixya has raised the bar. Considering that 6 billion gets spent on electronics every year, and every single dollar is spent by confused consumers, better support is an area with a lot of growth potential.
Getting to the guts of Google Gears.
Can we please question Google, at least for a second?
Yes, it’s like a broken record around here, but doesn’t anybody in the media world question what Google claims? The company came out with an application instruction set that allows developers to create offline versions of Google’s tools. And the sky falls with this news.
The spin here was that Google’s growing arsenal of applications, such as word processing and the like, will soon be available offline and well as online. And though that is essentially true, a quick look at what Google is offering shows the reality is much more subtle.
This is an application developer’s page. It is nowhere near a finished product. And though there are some interesting concepts here, Microsoft has similar tools called Silverlight, which brings its offline tools online.
Google is notorious for placing tools in Beta and leaving them there forever. Google Trends anyone?
It is far too early to say what the net effect of Google Gears will be in online applications. A local API that runs on java or something like that is far from the ideal solution for collaborative tools like Google Maps and the rest. Can we all just be a bit more skeptical please?
Cool stuff worth tracking.
Broadway ticket sales up. Live theater making a comeback?
AT&T adds international text messaging for 10 cents per message. Are you kidding me?
Prince coming to Verizon.
Wireless comes to Corpus Christi.
Google comes offline: Google Gears.
And finally … some screaming beans.
There are no words — only screams.

The outsourcing of customer relationship management services may not be as high in demand as it was a few years ago, but then, according to a report by the Global Industry Analysts (GIA) global call center revenue is bound to reach 9.3 billion by the year 2015. Which is why it is unsurprising that there are many countries gearing towards further development in the call center outsourcing space.
East African country, Kenya, is one destination that is pushing towards becoming a giant in the call center outsourcing space. In a story by CNNs Marketplace Africa, the show highlighted the company, KenCall, Kenyas biggest outsourcing call center. The million dollar, Nairobi-based company is optimistic about the prospects of Kenya as a call center outsourcing services destination even compared to its more prominent competitors, India and the Philippines. With the continued improvement of technology and services in Africa, centers such as KenCall can begin to offer services that would be at par with its competitors at more competitive rates. Even Indian corporations are looking favorably towards Africa as a viable investment option. This includes Indian billionaire Ravi Ruia, who invested in a South African call center for the Essar Group. According to Firdhose Coovadia, director of African operations at Essar Group, Africa looks remarkably similar to what India was 15 years ago. Likewise, another Indian company investing in Africa is Bharti Airtel (NSE:BHARTIARTL), who on the 25th of October, announced plans of initializing call center operations in Africa, citing that it will be creating call centers in partnership with IBM (NYSE:IBM), Tech Mahindra (NSE:TECHM) and SPANCO (BOM:508976). Bharti Airtels CEO, Manoj Kohli expressed his confidence in the country, stating that, Africa will revolutionize, and that Today is only a germination.
Meanwhile, in an evaluation by Frost & Sullivan, the company pointed out that Eurasian country, Russia is one emerging outsourcing destination for call center support services to keep an eye on. According to a briefing by the company, a major reason for this is that Russias infrastructure is improving allowing them to offer more advanced contact center outsourcing services.
And while these emerging destinations are gearing for top gun, veteran CRM call center services destinations, India and the Philippines are also not resting on their laurels. India is currently improving its technological capabilities in order to remain ahead of its competition, strengthening the current infrastructure and adapting the latest technologies. Indias high staff turnover however, may pose a challenge.
A big focus however, still largely remains on the Philippines. Numerous companies have announced plans of expanding in the country, even smaller outsourcing companies such as Qualfon, who announced just a few days ago on the 5th of November that they will be hiring 3,600 people in Dumaguete City and Cebu city. According to Gilbey Radin, HR and General Affairs Manager of Qualfon, out of Qualfons different centers in Argentina, the US, Guyana, Costa Rica and Mexico, the Philippine delivery center has the best customers service representatives with agents who can speak English well and communicate effectively with customers. Other Asian companies from Japan and China have also expressed interest in establishing call centers in the country. Everest Research (NYSE:RE) India Partner, Nikhil Rajpal, even goes so far to say that, In standalone voice business, the Philippines will undoubtedly beat India this year to become the call centre capital of the world.
It will be an interesting race to see who will emerge on top in the call center outsourcing race. Given that more and more countries are looking to share in the humongous pie that is CRM outsourcing, even current leaders such as Philippines and India have to remain on their toes if they want to stay on top.

The education of children within the home setting, or homeschooling, is becoming increasingly more popular. When my husband and I made the decision to home-school our children back in 1993, there were probably only one tenth the number of homeschooling families. In fact when I was hospitalized with the birth of our fourth child, the nurses kept peeking into my room, saying that they had to see what a home-schooling mom looked like.
When we decided to home-school, we also felt we needed a support network. We weren’t so much looking for like-minded people as much as we wanted healthy group dynamics for our children to explore social relationships and for myself to receive and later provide some mentoring and companionship. If you wish to begin a homeschooling community, there are some basic considerations and steps to take.
-Identify within yourself what you are seeking. Do you seek a group with a particular religious affiliation? Do want to ‘pow-wow’ with other professionals or educators who have chosen to home-school as well? How much, if any, of your child’s education do you want this group to fulfill? Is this group centered around a theme or activity? Will this home-school community be your only source of friendships and social interaction for your children? Do you seek a social outlet for your children? For yourself? For example, when my two friends and I began the homeschooling group in our parish, it was because we felt the need for a Catholic homeschooling group in our area. The nearest was too far away to feasibly participate.
-Explore some Internet and community resources to find out if such a group already exists. Instituting a group of any kind requires a great deal of commitment as well as people willing to labor with you. If a group exists that meets your criteria, save yourself the work and give it a try
-Find out if others are hearing this call. You don’t need a large group; as Christians believe, God is wherever two or more are gathered in His Name. That protocol works with group theory as well. This should not consist of half-hearted members or people you have to talk into it. They should be people that you feel comfortable being. It’s quality before quantity. If you have just one other family it can be a great experience for you both. My dear friend and mentor in homeschooling, whom I have known for over 15 years, made that very wise observation and it is true.
-Invite interested friends over for some time of reflection. Explain your ideas over a cup of tea or glass of wine. Ask one person to record the ideas that are expressed. If your community will be a faith-based homeschooling group, ask your higher power for divine guidance to control. We chose to pray a novena (nine day series of prayers with a specific intention).
-Secure a meeting location, especially for large group events; if it isn’t someone’s home, calls will need to be made.
-Name your group. This may sound premature or trivial, but for us as Catholics, it was a matter not only of naming the group but then asking for patronage as well. Our group’s name, which was chosen after much consideration, is Holy Family Home-School group.
-Develop a mission statement. “Mission Statement” was an educational buzzword in the mid 1990′s. As an adult education teacher, I participated in many focus groups geared toward developing a mission statement. The magic number was nine; keep the mission statement to nine words, I guess to prevent it from becoming a mission novella. If you hammer out a mission statement for your new group, it helps you all to gel your aims into a cogent end.
-Follow Robert’s Rules of Order. It is easy for one or two members to dominate the group and monopolize everyone’s time, energy and patience. Allow each a certain time frame for sharing. Sometimes you may have to be ruthless about cutting people off.
-Institute by-laws and make them stick. What these consist of will depend upon the focus of your group. Some areas may include: expected behavior, how to admit new members, expectations, ethics, etc. Take it from a professional group organizer: you will not regret the time you spend on this possibly less pleasant task. Rules can save you from needless heartache.
For example, several years ago we had some children in a group whose behavior was rude and obnoxious. I was in charge of field trips. They were horrid to the speaker at a facility we visited. Although their mother was present, some people felt thought that I, as coordinator should have reprimanded them. I said, absolutely not; were they students in my classroom, then yes. I was responsible for my own children. Some mom’s would love nothing more than for someone else to do their job. If that’s the case, then put the kids in school. That is the oxymoron of home-schooling; different ways to do it. But bad behavior reflects on the group and by-laws are a way to prevent that.
-Develop an agenda. I’m not referring to a calendar agenda only, but a list of activities the group will focus on: field trips, Mom’s groups, group activities, clubs, group lessons, focus groups, family activities, etc.
-Implement a phone chain. But do be clear about it’s purpose. If you don’t want to be on the phone constantly, (and you will if you don’t set boundaries), be clear about what goes on the phone chain, when to call and how to bypass someone who is not available.
-Create a website. There are many free domains for your use. Yahoo!groups, Geocities, Scholastic Teacher homepages. Post your schedule, changes, discussion forums, and a phone list.
-Establish individual responsibilities. I don’t advocate the traditional president, but is good to decide who takes care of group tasks: maintaining the website, the calendar, welcoming new members, scheduling, communication, organizing field trips, speakers, lining up any child care, securing a meeting site, providing refreshments, clean-up, mom’s night hosts, etc. Every member should have some role.
Although I questioned my ability and sometimes wished I’d done a better job as a home-schooler, I never regretted our decision to home-school. May your home-schooling experience be as rewarding and pleasant as mine was.
